TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
 
PURSUANT TO THE TEXAS OPEN MEETINGS ACT, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE   COMMISSIONERS’ COURT OF SOMERVELL COUNTY, TEXAS WILL BE HELD AT
9:30 A.M, MONDAY,  THE 26th  DAY OF OCTOBER, 2009,
IN THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURTROOM IN THE SOMERVELL COUNTY COURTHOUSE ANNEX
107 N.E. VERNON
IN GLEN ROSE, TEXAS AT WHICH MEETING THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS WILL BE DISCUSSED AND THE FOLLOWING MATTERS ACTED UPON:
 
OPEN MEETING:
 
CITIZEN COMMENTS:  This is for citizens to comment on any subject not on the current agenda concerning county business.  Members of the Court may answer direct questions, but any action from this item must be scheduled on a future agenda.

2.    Move $3,600 from Cap Imp’s Eq/Furn #450-570 to Rd Maint Eq/Furn #430570 $1,200, to Bldg Maint Eq/Furn #402-570 $1,200 and to DPS Eq/Furn #427-570 $1,200.
 
3.    Move $1,200 from Cap Eq/Furn #450-570 to EMS Eq/Furn #436-570.
 
4.    Move $550 from Cap Eq/Furn #450-570 to Bldg Maint Eq/Furn #402-570.
 
5.    Move $52,800 from Cap Eq/Furn #450-570 to G/C Eq/Furn #441-570.

Commissioners’ Court of Somervell County met in a special meeting at 9:30 a.m. on the above date with all Commissioners present. County Judge Walter Maynard presided.

 

OPEN MEETING

 

CITIZEN COMMENTS:  Judge Maynard said bios of Eddie Pollock and Marty McPherson need to be prepared and forwarded to the Johnson County Judge’s office for the November 5, 2009 swearing-in as members of Prairieland Groundwater Conservation District board of directors.

Motion was made by Commissioner Cummings and seconded by Commissioner Ford to move

1.     $28,685 from SO Dispatch #428-103 to SO Administrative #428-102.

Motion carried. All voting aye.

 

10. Motion was made by Commissioner Ford and seconded by Commissioner Cummings to approve the purchase of Reel & Bedknife Grinders through Buyboard at $52,790 for two.  Motion carried. All voting aye.

11. Motion was made by Commissioner Barnard and seconded by Commissioner Ford to approve correcting the awarding of the bid on the real property described as Lot 1 East, Block 4A of the Gibbs Industrial Park, which was originally made by this Court to SBG Smith Supply, Inc., at a meeting of the Court on September 25, 2009.  The bid on the sale of the property was actually made by, and in the name of, GR3 Properties, LLC, and I move to so award the bid for the purchase of the real property to GR3 Properties, LLC, and authorize the County Judge to sign any and all documents necessary to conclude such sale.  Motion carried. All voting aye.

 

There being no further business, motion was made by Commissioner Wirt and seconded by Commissioner Cummings to adjourn at 9:39 a.m.  Motion carried.  All voting aye.
