Christian book banners on the march in Wisconsin. Where's YOUR torch?

Milwaukee-area citizen Robert C. Braun of the Christian Civil Liberties Union (CCLU) distributed at the meeting copies of a claim for damages he and three other plaintiffs filed April 28 with the city; the complainants seek the right to publicly burn or destroy by another means the library’s copy of Baby Be-Bop. The claim also demands $120,000 in compensatory damages ($30,000 per plaintiff) for being exposed to the book in a library display, and the resignation of West Bend Mayor Kristine Deiss for “allow[ing] this book to be viewed by the public.”

Alien at your teller window.

Um. Is this yet ANOTHER broken campaign promise from Obama?Don't Ask Don't Tell

The U.S. Supreme Court has turned down a challenge to the Defense Department policy forbidding gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military, granting a request by the Obama administration.

The court said Monday that it will not hear an appeal from former Army Capt. James Pietrangelo II, who was dismissed under the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy. ...

During last year's campaign, President Barack Obama pledged to overturn the policy, but he has made no specific move to do so since taking office in January.

In fact, if that statement above is correct, the administration is actively working AGAINST overturning the policy.

Meanwhile, the White House has said it will not stop gays and lesbians from being dismissed from the military.
