Glen Rose has a great number of things to do or see - Big Rock Park, Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, Somervell County Expo Center, Dinosaur Valley State Park, The Promise, Squaw Creek Golf Course, Tres Rios, Oakdale Park, and nearby, one of my favorite places, Rough Creek Lodge. To me, Glen Rose is the start of Hill Country.

Ugh! I blocked Fox News, but Thought I had Stumbled In Again on the ABC Debate!

 

Just got done watching the ABC Debate that was moderated by Charlie Gibson. Where were the questions about Bush's torture, about executive signing statements, what about that permanent base in Iraq, what about the huge cost of the war, about bailing out investment bankers, about using PPPs (whether from this country or foreign) to lease out our infrastructure, what about the airline industry FAA problem? Nope. Had to listen to right-wing Republican talking points in a DEMOCRATIC DEBATE coming from Gibson and Steph. Now, on the one hand, maybe it's a good thing because that's what will happen when Gramps McCain goes head to head with Obama but you know, if I wanted to watch Fox News, I'd unblock it. I can't believe I'm saying that the cable televison debates are better than broadcast, but at least in the case of ABC that's the truth. P.S. Hillary Clinton has a look on her face in much of the debate that reminded me of the pissy pursed look that Bush had in the second debate against Kerry. P.P.S. I feel like I've been poisoned. It was sort of like, instead of watching a debate, seeing ABC tag team with Hillary Clinton, BOTH with Republican Talking Points or maybe like being locked in a room with Karl Rove for a couple of hours. If ABC hoped to gain some additional watchers from THIS household, didn't work, I still despise her. And I despise Hillary Clinton.
